Set during the fall of Rapture, players assume the role of a Plasmid test subject for Sinclair Solutions, a premier provider of Plasmids and Tonics in the underwater city of Rapture that was first explored in the original BioShock. Players will need to use all the elements of the BioShock toolset to survive as the full depth of the BioShock experience is refined and transformed into a unique multiplayer experience that can only be found in Rapture.
The next edition of the immensely successful and provoking 2008 game – Bioshock is now slated for a midnight February 9th Launch. Bioshock 2 puts you into the shoes of a Big Daddy protecting his Little Sisters, while escaping the Big Sister. Set 10 years after the original title, the world of Rapture now sees a shift from Objectivism to Communism. Andrew Ryan was replaced by a new ruler, Sofia Lamb, who believes in the efforts and achievements of the community rather than those of the individual. She’s whipped the splicers into a kind of religious fervor, and she’s told them all to wipe you out. Now that you are the Big Daddy, check out your arsenal as well.
In India, Bioshock 2 will be distributed by e-Xpress Interactive and is quoted for a very reasonable price of Rs. 699/- only. Oh, and by the way, Splinter Cell: Conviction has been delayed from a late-Feb launch to April 13 now, and this time it appears the date has been set in stone.
