This E3, Ubisoft previewed a gameplay video from the upcoming Assassin’s Creed 2. What’s New in Assassin’s Creed 2? You had to ask, huh! Well, Assassin’s Creed had six mission types – assassination, pick-pocketing, over hearing, interrogation, etc; Assassin’s Creed 2 has got almost 14. There are around 200 missions to do – 100 related to the main story, 100 for exploration. Oh, and Da Vinci and Machiavelli are your bosom buddies, helping you out with equipment and missions to become the ultimate assassin.
Set in Renaissance Italy, Assassin’s Creed 2 tells the story of Ezio – a nobleman out there to avenge his family by assassinating their murderers, being helped by Da Vinci with weapons and equipment. Ezio carries now dual hidden blades (without losing any fingers, big thanks to Da Vinci), a primitive gun, can swim, can fly (with Da Vinci’s Ornithopter), and do loads more.
The game is visually more appealing, has more style and oomph, Ezio has learned many new tricks Altair never knew, the guards have gotten smarter – a lot has changed in the 300 years that have passed. The game looks so yummy, that I might die drooling before the game launches. Come holiday 2009 and save me.
