Karthik Calling Karthik – Farhan Akhtar = Disaster

Well audiences will not watch anything that you make. Bad Screenplay, poor direction, average editing – all this is part of Karthik Calling Karthik (KCK).

Karthik Calling Karthik Farhan Akhtar Deepika Padukone Karthik Calling Karthik – Farhan Akhtar = Disaster

The story is about a looser – a person fired from job, the girl of his life is not even noticing him, all this changes with a phone call from a person, who also claims to be Karthik. His life takes a summersault: he lands his dream job, bags hottie Deepika and other happenings of life. He has it all till one day he comes to know the identity of his mentor…

Not interested ?? Well let’s end the story part and come to performances. Apart from Farhan Akhtar’s acting nothing else strikes in the movie. He has really emerged as a bollywood mainstream actor. Though I belive he was better at making movies. The movie is Farhan-centric. In fact, you will find him in almost every frame of the movie. Apart from this, there are no other performances to cheer about. Deepika is looking lame and as always she has not acted well in the movie.

Music is very kewl. Number’s like Uff Teri Adaa and Hey Ya are already a hit. The movie rates high on its music and background score.

Where KCK looses is its plot and story line. It could have been a different movie all together but for its poor direction. Overall KCK is a serious movie, which can be liked by a few set of multiplexes audience otherwise it’s a total waste.

Watch it for the performance of Farhan Akhtar and to discover the mystery behind the other Karthik.
