Sync.in: Realtime Document Collaboration

Google brought an evolution to internet with Google Docs, a world away from the Microsoft Office where sharing and editing a document got easier (way easier). What Sync.in (from Cynapse India, developers of acclaimed Cyn.in) brings is a great way to create, share documents amongst multiple people and collaborate on it in a real-time environment, where modifications made by any contributor are instantly updated on your screen that too color coded according to the author of the text.

Offered Features

Sync.in also offers a great user interface to produce smooth, work friendly interactive environment. Combine this with simultaneous chat with all contributors and advance save feature including a Time Slide, where you can slide back to any version of document and undo changes and even mark important document states for further referencing.

Text formatting options are few and therefore won’t make this anywhere close to a complete document suit. But still proves to be a great platform for note making during call conference, online brainstorming sessions or even project planning.

Using the free “Public Note” service allows users to create a public (not private) document without even registration, that can be shared easily using Sync.in built in support  for many social networking websites and later even be exported as HTML or  text file.

Going Pro

Pro version of Sync.in charged at $2 per user/month will allow you and your organization to create private documents, restrict access and even password protect your documents and if that still isn’t safe for you, Sync.in also provide its services over a secure SSL connections to all its Pro members. In Addition to this, they also provide a desktop application based on Adobe AIR technology that can be executed on any platform including Linux, Windows and Mac to bring faster and more convenient access to Sync.in.
